Social Media Doing it’s Bit for Charidy Mate

I received an email from the NetSquared UK community builder Amy Sample Ward today about the forthcoming London Net Tuesday event. If you haven’t heard of NetSquared before, it’s essentially an organisation / community setup to help charities and not for profits to engage with and use social media. Check out their site for more detail. Sounds like a great project if you ask me and if you are involved in either a. social media or b. not for profits, then you’ll probably enjoy getting involved.

Amy has offered members of the LondonBloggers meetup community the opportunity to participate in the event by representing your blogging platform in a head to head blog-off debate / presentation. If you’d like to take part then just drop me a line and we can get you setup.

I’m thinking about putting myself forward for the WP slot, unless someone else is particularly keen..?

By the way, news on the next Bloggers meetup is that it’s coming, along with a Christmas party edition, but I’ve just been a really busy work wise recently (and actually out with a hideous cold for a week) so I’m a little behind. Keep your eyes peeled on the meetup page for more info soon.
