The Photography Edition

July 02, 2012 / by / 0 Comment

Last week we held the latest London Bloggers Meetup called The Photography Edition. As you might guess, it was all about photography.

We had four great speakers join us for the panel:

Chris Osburn - freelance photographer Chris spoke about his experiences posting a photo on his blog every day for over 6 years.

Peter Marshall - seasoned photo blogger Peter spoke about copyright, photographers rights, photographing people and public places.

Madlen Nicolaus – Madlen talked about her tips for creating shareable photos. You can see Madlen’s slides below (the others you can see on their blogs).

Shimelle Laine – scrapbook blogger Shimelle spoke about the potential pitfalls of using stock images and why you should create your own images.

I enjoyed all four of the talks and the Q&A afterwards was great. I was not surprised by the round of applause our speakers took at the end – great effort guys. Thanks again.

Here are Madlen’s slides:

Pretty sure these are the iPhone lenses Madlen referred to. At only $49 they look like an absolute bargain.

Thanks to all of those who attended, both new members and some regular faces. Great to chat with Jenn Bartram, , Joe Kelly, Bernie Mitchell, Ruthy Isadore, Tracey and many more.

UPDATE – I just spotted my co-organiser Bernie Mitchell’s Storify from the night which you can enjoy below:
