Blogging & The Community Channel
Hi LBM’ers,
Valentina from the Community Channel to ask whether any of our community would like to participate in a new show they are organising called Arts 360. You can read below an introduction to the show but essentially you need to be aged between 16-25 to get involved.
If you want to find out more, send me a note and I’ll put you in touch with Valentina.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Good speaking to you yesterday. As briefly discussed, I am contacting you on behalf of Community Channel, the UK’s only charity-run channel, dedicated to giving a voice to untold stories. I am project coordinator for a new show called Arts360, which will enable and empower young people to engage with arts and cultural journalism in and around London. The show aims to showcase young people who are active in community arts, and encourage debate and participation among young people (16-25) in arts and cultural activities.
To do this, alongside two half-hour pilot shows, we’re offering our platforms as an area for blogging, debate and sharing community arts stories.
As an organisation involved blogging, I thought you would be interested in passing this on to some of your bloggers to see if they would like to share some of their stories and submit blog posts about on our platforms to help encourage debate on subjects that matter to them.
Arts360 will be shown to the Community Channel on Sky 539, Virgin TV 233 and Freeview, and online at www.communitychannel.org. We’ll also encourage debate and showcase work via Twitter () and Facebook ().
It would be great if you could promote this on your platforms to see if anyone is keen to get involved. Please let me know if you do so.
Many thanks,
Valentina Lewis Project Co-ordinator Arts360
