If you live in London and write a blog then you might be interested to come along to the regular London Bloggers Meetup. The next event is on Tuesday 29th January at the Camel & Artichoke Pub near to Waterloo, check out the Meetup page for more info.

If you can’t make it, check back here in early Feb for a round-up of the event and quite possibly a handful of photos. Then of course you can register for the next event in Feb.

Essentially the Meetup is a great place to meet other bloggers and have a couple of drinks. At the last event we had around 25 bloggers many of whom stayed around till closing, chatting about blogging and generally having a few drinks and a laugh.

At the next one our friends at review site Qype have agreed to buy everyone a drink or two (woo hoo!) and they are even holding a competition to win yet more booze. If you haven’t seen Qype yet, it’s a great little service for reviewing local restaurants, pubs, or anything really – fantastic if you need a recommendation.

Well, that’s it, if you want to come along to the next meetup, don’t forget to RSVP as soon as you can as we have limited space. Look forward to seeing you all there!

A quick note of thanks to everyone who has blogged about the next meetup – your support means we are set for a great event! To name but a few:

The New Year / January meeting was great fun.

Thanks to Andy and Qype for the organization and hospitality. Like quite a few people there, I was a newbie but was struck by how friendly, diverse and interesting the group were and how welcoming the event was. I didn’t manage to meet everyone in the room, but did still meet quite a few new contacts, leaving with an overall positive buzz from the event.

    Well done.

Yes, I enjoyed the evening and meeting new people too. Now I’ve found some time to have a look around the meetup site and blogs, trying to fit names and blogs to faces for future reference.

London bloggers can always add themselves to the new wiki page
